Audemars Piguet Watches

Edward Piguet and Jules Audemars joined forces in 1875 in Switzerland to make complicated movements and then created Audemars Piguet in 1881. Audemars Piguet (pronounced OH-duh-MAHR PEA-GAY) is the oldest Manufacture of Haute Horlogerie to remain in the hands of the original founding families. The history of Audemars Piguet is littered with watch making world firsts and world records, one of which remains to this day - the smallest hand-wound wristwatch movement created in 1946.

Introduced in 1972, the Royal Oak is Audemars Piguet's most recognizable wristwatch model and is the first luxury sports watch with a steel case. The Royal Oak is easily recognisable by its octagonal bezel secured with hexagonal screws. It has appeared in many variations including a date function, chronograph functions and a model water resistant to 10 atmospheres. Besides the Royal Oak range, Audemars Piguet also have the Classic collection with the Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet models and their most recent collection, the Millenary range characterised by a horizontal oval case. The Feminine luxury watch collection for women contains the Deva, Danae and Givrine models.
