Omega Watches

One of the most popular swiss luxury watch brands in the world, Omega (pronounced Oh-MAY-ga) was founded in Switzerland in 1848. By 1909 Omega was producing sports chronometers and in 1957 created their most well known model, the Omega Speedmaster.

NASA chose the Speedmaster for all Apollo missions and in 1969, when Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon, he was wearing an Omega Speedmaster Professional. Omega's next most popular luxury watch range is the Seamaster Professional that is characterised by a "monobloc" case and bolted winding crown designed to be totally water resistant for deep sea diving use. Omega made history in 1999 by being the first to mass produce a luxury watch with a co-axial escapement. Considered to be a significant horological advancement, the co-axial escapement can be found in most of Omega's ranges including the elegant De Ville range and the dressy Constellation range.
