Panerai Watches

Panerai was founded in Florence, Italy in 1860 and became the official supplier to the Royal Italian Navy. Panerai (pronounced Pun-a-rye) was a relatively obscure luxury watch brand until Sylvester Stallone wore a Panerai Luminor Submersible model during the filming of Daylight in 1995.

Officine Panerai, now manufactured in Switzerland, is known for their large watch sizes and has been credited with starting the trend to large case sizes now followed by other luxury watch brands such as Audemars Piguet, IWC, Maurice Lacroix, as well as Rolex. The most popular Panerai model range is the Luminor all featuring mechanical movements and some with additional functions such as a power reserve indicator, date or chronograph. The Luminor range starts with the Luminor Base, and contains other highly sought after models - Luminor Marina, Luminor GMT, Luminor Submersible and Luminor Power Reserve.

The Radiomir range with the Radiomir Black Seal and Radiomir Chrono appeal particularly to those who are looking for a vintage style watch. In 2006, Panerai became the official timekeeper for Ferrari and have released two collections of Panerai Ferrari watches, the Granturismo and Scuderia.
