Baume & Mercier Watches

Baume & Mercier (pronounced bohm AY mer-SEE-AY) was founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1918. Both founders had left the company by 1937 and Constantin de Gorski arrived to breathe fresh ideas into Baume & Mercier and concentrated on classic men's watches, chronograph watches and ladies diamond watches in the following years. Piaget took a controlling interest in Baume & Mercier in 1965 and was then bought by the Cartier Group. Today, Baume & Mercier is part of the Richemont group of brands.

Baume & Mercier's most recognizable and flagship model line is the rectangular Hampton, first introduced in 1994. The Hampton Mille is followed in 1999, the Hampton Spirit in 2002 and the Hampton City in 2003. Other popular Baume & Mercier model lines are the dodecagonal Riviera and the successful Diamant line of womens watches.
